Anglican Tradition

What does Anglican Tradition mean?

The word tradition simply means that we faithfully hand on what we have received (“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,” 1 Cor 15.3a), not making up whatever we like.
The word Anglican simply means “English.” In other words, the traditions passed on from the time Christianity first came to the very edge of the Roman Empire, the British Isles, during apostolic times.
In more depth, the Anglican Tradition means that we are members of the Church instituted by Jesus Christ and founded on the Apostles two thousand years ago and their ancient faith in the creator of the world, the one God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob;  and in Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and ascension.
